Privacy Policy
Effective July 14, 2026
NookShift does not require an account, does not run ads, and does not include third-party analytics. Your rooms, reset plans, reminders, and activity history are stored on your device.
Information stored on your device
NookShift stores the information needed to run the app locally, including room names, room icons, custom reset steps, saved setups, active-session recovery data, reminder settings, activity history, and a limited record used to preserve NookShift Plus access.
This information is not sent to a NookShift account or developer-operated server because NookShift does not operate either one.
Calendar
On iOS 17 or later, NookShift can open Apple’s event editor with a suggested room-reset event. NookShift does not request permission to read your calendars and does not inspect calendar contents. The event is saved only if you confirm it in Apple’s editor.
Notifications
NookShift uses local notifications for room reminders. Notification permission is requested only after you choose to enable a reminder. NookShift does not register for remote push notifications and does not use a remote notification service.
Live Activities
When you start a room reset, NookShift can display the timer, current step, and progress through Apple’s Live Activities system on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, the Dynamic Island. This activity is created and updated by the app on your device.
Purchases
NookShift Plus is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the transaction and controls payment information. NookShift receives purchase-status information needed to unlock or restore NookShift Plus, but it does not receive your full payment-card details.
Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Support email
If you contact support, the information you choose to send—such as your email address, message, device details, or screenshots—will be used to answer your request and troubleshoot the issue. Do not send passwords, payment details, recovery codes, or verification codes.
Support email is currently routed through a privacy-focused email alias service to the developer’s support inbox.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
NookShift does not include advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics. NookShift does not sell personal information.
Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it through the app where controls are available, reset the relevant feature, or delete NookShift. Deleting the app removes its local app data. Events saved in Apple Calendar are controlled by Apple Calendar and must be deleted there.
Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain a record of the issue, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.
Children
NookShift is not directed specifically at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or developer-operated service.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change when NookShift’s features or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy changes.
